“InAdvance Project has been awarded the Research and development award with social impact by The Social Council of the University of Valencia”

InAdvance

6 July 2020

This award represents an important achievement, as it recognizes the work of those entities and individuals that best contribute to strengthening the links between the scientific and academic world and society.

The Society-University Awards of the University of Valencia, of an honorary nature, are promoted and organized by the Social Council of the University of Valencia in collaboration with its University-Business Foundation (ADEIT).

With over twenty years of history, the University-Society Conferences and their awards have received the unconditional support of the University of Valencia itself, the business sector and the local, regional and national administration.

In its 24th edition, the award given to InAdvance Project, as part of these conferences, recognizes the social benefit generated by this R&D project, funded by the European Commission's Horizon 2020 programme with 4.2 million, that began in 2019 and will be running for 48 months

InAdvance Project aims to improve the benefits of palliative care among patients, their families and caregivers as well as frontline professionals through the design of early palliative care interventions that are patient-centred and patient-oriented. The consortium is integrated with 11 partners of high academic and technological level from 7 European countries, under the coordination of the Polibienestar Institute from University of Valencia. The program is led by Professor Jorge Garcés Ferrer and the researcher Ascensión Doñate Martínez.

This year 2020, coinciding with the 10th Anniversary of the Polibienestar Research Institute, is proving to be a great success for Jorge Garcés who has also received the Knowledge Improvement Award from the Social Council from the Polytechnic University of Valencia.
